"We should rely on smart grid which features automatic balancing and healing based on self-regulation, whether it is local, regional or micro-grid. Therefore, the instability of wind and light will not be a problem in the future. We can completely remove the instability by relying on the power grid system."

"The photovoltaic sector is going through a phase that polycrystalline silicon has become the biggest bottleneck for the whole sector. The common characteristic of the sector, whether photovoltaic or power battery, is that once demand exceeds supply in the market, the price will be applied to constrain demand and drive the next round of investment in the development of supply."

"In recent years, with the constant expansion of the industrial scale, the accelerating iterative upgrading of the technology and the rapid promotion of intelligent manufacturing, the cost of photovoltaic power generation has dropped by more than 90%. In the meantime, the cost of photovoltaic power generation in China has also been greatly reduced. Up to now the cost has been reduced to be less than RMB 0.3 yuan/kWh."

At present, carbon neutrality has become a global consensus, and such renewable energy as photovoltaic and wind energy is undoubtedly the main means for realizing carbon neutrality. In this year's "two sessions", several heads of the companies respectively with a market cap of RMB 100 billion yuan put forward their proposals around new energy sources, such as photovoltaic and wind energy.

Liu Hanyuan, Deputy to the NPC and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Tongwei Group, put forward relevant proposals on promoting the sustainable and healthy development of renewable energy and helping the effective accomplishment of carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals. The reporter of National Business Daily exclusively interviewed Liu Hanyuan, who raised concerns about the photovoltaic industry chain's rising price, future direction, etc.
