December 21 -22, the Economic and Urbanization Conference of CPC Sichuan committee was held in Chengdu. Standing committee member of the 11^th CPPCC, board chairman of Tongwei Group Liu Hanyuan was invited to attend the meeting.

Secretary of the CPC Sichuan committee Wang Dongming made a speech at the conference. He analyzed the current economic situation, summarized work of the past year, and specified overall requirements, major objectives and significant issues of the coming year.

The conference stressed that next year’s economic work must be well done. The guideline of reform-led economic, social development and scientific development shall be fully implemented with the "three major development strategies".

We shall tap potential for economic growth, maintain transition development, stimulate vitality of the overall market, ensure and improve people’s livelihood, promote sustained and healthy development of the province’s economic, social harmony and stability. The core is to seek progress, innovation, and overall steady growth, while adjusting structure, promoting reform, improving people’s livelihood, for economic development with more dynamics, more quality, more effectiveness, and more stamina.
