Led by Mr. Wu Zongwen, Tongwei’s integrated eco-efficient farming technique of southern catfish recently won the 3^rd prize of Chengdu Science and Technology Advancement.

Tongwei has been engaged in R&D in feed and farming model for southern catfish since 1997. In 2007, the company assumed project of the Spark Program by the Ministry of Science and Technology. In 2011, Tongwei took on the project of Demonstration and Promotion of Integrated Eco-efficient Farming Technique of Southern Catfish. Focusing on farming technique improvement, the aim is to realize co-existence of fish and vegetables, and finally achieve water-saving and pro-environment fish farming.

The technique has been demonstrated to farmers of Chengdu and its periphery area through training. Early in 2011, Tongwei’s project of ’research and application on supporting technique of southern catfish farming with green floating feed’ won the first prize of Chengdu Science and Technology Advancement.
