March, 28, the key technique research & industrial demonstration of southern catfish’ 2012 project summary & 2013 annual planning conference was held at Tongwei headquarters. The project participants of Sichuan Agricultural University, Xihua University, the Aquaculture Research Institute of Sichuan Provincial Academy of Agricultural Science, and Sichuan Provincial Livestock Feed Co., Ltd., as well as related researchers attended the conference.

After research reports by experts Zhou Xiaoqiu, Wang Shangwen, Xiao Dan, and Gao Qiping in their respective fields, Deputy Director of Sichuan Provincial Bureau of Science and Technology Han Zhongcheng gave high credit to the project’s progress and findings.

The project is among the key demonstrative projects of scientific innovation in 2011 approved by the SCSTB, and the only aquaculture project in Sichuan. After two year’s implementation, the project has formed 6 standards on feed and healthy farming, with 5 new catfish feed varieties, and 11 deep-processing products developed. Additionally, 8 farming demonstration areas and 21 demonstration bases have been established with a total area of 6700 mu.
