June 28, 2012, World Brand Lab released its "China’s 500 Most Valuable Brands 2012" (9^th edition) list. In this ranking of top Chinese brands, which is based on financial analysis, consumer behavior and brand strength, China Mobile tops the list of most valuable brands in 2012 with a brand value of 238.57 billion yuan. Other brands taking the top five spots are National Grid (223.97 billion yuan), ICBC (221.75 billion yuan), CCTV (154.67 billion yuan), China Life Insurance (126.16 billion yuan). Tongwei Group ranked 89 with its brand value reaching￥15.118 billion RMB.
