Chairman Liu attends 6th CNEIF
2012-04-19

April 13-14, China New Energy Chamber of Commerce (CNECC) hosted the 6th China New Energy International Forum in partnership with Chinese Renewable Energy Industry Association (CREIA) at Beijing’s National Convention center. Themed “New Energy-sharing Opportunities in China,” the forum is a great platform for policymakers, stakeholders, experts, and investors to network, and explore collaborative opportunities. Chairman Liu was invited to attend the forum and made a keynote speech.

At the forum, Mr. Liu said, according to China’s current energy demand and economic development speed, the generating capacity of 2012 will exceed ¥2 billion kw. Clean energy is the development trend of energy utilization. In a narrow sense, China’s new energy total consumption is 4 or 5 times the energy demand by electricity consumption, which means, the consumption of every kilowatt hour of electricity actually consumes 4 – 5 kilowatt hour equivalency of coal, oil and other energy resources. Half of the nation’s transport volume is for coal and gas transport. The extensive utilization of clean energy will release the freight pressure on railroad, which can further promote energy saving, emission reduction and environment protection.

Mr. Liu said, China has been using centralized power generation and supply mode, while the future supply tendency is a decentralized pattern combining generation and supply. Idea renewal, policy support, as well as technical development and update will be a long process. The fundamental transition of China’s economic mode lies in the transition of energy producing and consumption mode.
