November, 4, Chengdu’s first cold-water fish industry reconstruction project -- Tongwei Salmon Fish Industrial Base completed its 1st phase construction.

The base occupies an area of over 200 mu, and integrates farming, scientific research, industrial development, and tourism.

As the key leading company of the State-level hi-tech enterprise and Chengdu’s agricultural industrialization, Tongwei Salmon Fish Company specializes in cold-water fish research and development. The company has introduced salmon fish, rainbow trout, perca fluviatilis, and Salvelinus alpines. The annual production capacity of salmon fish reaches 100,000 kg, and can breed 3 million salmon fish fries. Since its operation last year, the company has had an average monthly reception of consumers of over 7000.
