July 7, the Sichuan committee of China National Democratic Construction Association held the 6th Plenary Session in Chengdu. CNDCA and government officials attended the meeting. Standing committee member of the CPPCC, standing committee member of the China National Democratic Construction Association, board Chairman of Tongwei Group Liu Hanyuan was invited to attend the meeting.

The session organized group study on the President Hu’s speech at the 90th anniversary of the CPC’s establishment. In addition, the meeting listened and discussed the presentations of the Chairman and deputy chairman of CNDCA Sichuan committee, and made democratic evaluation of the members of the management. Vice Chairman Liu Hanyuan also made work report at the meeting.

Mr. Liu made a summary of his work: 1. Actively participating into the association’s work with enhanced performance capabilities in terms of reconstruction, relief work, and supervision within the association since the inception of duty in 2009; 2. Paying attention to people’s livelihood and making positive proposals for political participation performance for Sichuan’s economic growth; 3. corporate development and social responsibility. In agriculture sector, Tongwei Co., Ltd. has tallied over 10 billion yuan in sales. In new energy sector, Yonxiang’s 2nd-phase project of 3,000 tons polysilicon will be completed this August. Meanwhile, the 3rd-phase of 6,000 tons has fully initiated and will be completed next June. While gaining continued growth, the company makes every effort to undertake more social responsibilities to help with the economic development at poverty-stricken areas.
