June 22, the opening ceremony of Jianghuai area and HuaiHai Institute of Technology’s ocean institute cooperation was held in the Ocean Building of the institute. Tongwei’s assistant president and general manager of Jianghuai area Zhou Hongchao, Jiangsu Bada’s general manager Wang Kaihong, secretary of HIT’s Party committee Du Xiuqiao and President Wang Shujun attended the ceremony.

Mr. Zhou and representatives from branch companies gave awards to the students who had won the 1st Tongwei Scholarship. Mr. Du emphasized on the promoting role of the cooperation; Mr. Zhou pointed out that it was both sides’ responsibility to take the lead in “learning and practice”, and cultivate adaptive talents. He also promised the platform of Tongwei’s talents cultivation and 6 safeguard measures.

Later on, the organizer arranged an explanation session which played an important role in communication between enterprises, schools and students. Many students consulted about the internship in summer holiday and were willing to work in Tongwei as intern.

HuaiHai Institute of Technology’s ocean institute was founded in 1985 in Xinpu District of Lianyungang. It has now 6 majors, and aquaculture is the characteristic major of Jiangsu. The ocean institute has over 1600 students and 111 faculties. Tongwei established its Tongwei training base for talents at Huaihai Institute of Technology, cooperating with the school in personnel training, internship, information service and technology support, and Tongwei Scholarship.
