May, 17, Sichuan private economy conference was held in Chengdu. Secretary of the CPC Sichuan committee, and governor Jiang Jufeng attended the meeting and made a keynote speech: until the end of last year, the proportion of private economy to Sichuan’s GDP rose from 43.4% in 2005 to 56%. We will keep making efforts to raise the proportion to 63% by the end of the 12th five year plan. The added value of private economy will double the volume of 2010.  

The conference summarized and reviewed Sichuan’s private economy, and analyzed its current existing problems. Officials from the government, the CPPCC provincial committee, provincial Federation of Industry and Commerce, as well as 23 private enterprise representatives including Tongwei attended the meeting.

During the 11th five year plan period, the added value of the province’s private economy rose from ￥320.749 billion RMB in 2005 to ￥945.497 billion RMB in 2010. The total tax paid by private economy exceeded 100 billion RMB in 2010. With its healthy and fast development, Tongwei Group has built a formidable business that tallied ￥30.6 billion RMB in sales in 2010. The company keeps contributing to the local economic development.
